Ellicottville Class of 2026- THE BOB MCCARTHY SCHOLARSHIPS

In our 21st year the Foundation continues to be inspired by the philanthropic work of our namesake Bob McCarthy.  Bob taught Special Education at McKinley High School while he was becoming a local fixture in our wonderful little community.

Today we continue Bobs work by trying to level the playing field for youth and elderly in the Ellicottville community.

This year we are awarding $1,000,00 scholarships given to three exemplary ECS graduates who showed a dedication to community service and fellow students putting the community’s needs above their own.

Besides doubling the amount for the 3 ECS scholarships this year we are proud to present a new $2,500.00 Aspire scholarship to each of 2 CABOCES students to help them pursue careers in the trades or non-traditional education paths.
