For four exciting weeks this summer, the Ellicottville Memorial Library was
buzzing with creativity, curiosity, and innovation during STEM Camp
hosted by Mrs. Farnum made possible thanks to the generous support of
the Bob McCarthy Foundation.

Students of all ages took part in engaging, hands-on activities that
encouraged problem solving, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
From designing marble roller coasters and engineering Ferris wheels, to
coding robots and building solar ovens, each project challenged
participants to think like real scientists and engineers.
Beyond the fun and experimentation, this program played a vital role in
keeping kids academically engaged during the summer months. It
helped bridge the gap between school years and ensured students
stayed connected to science, technology, engineering, and math in
meaningful and memorable ways.

As students head into the new school year, they’ll carry with them not
only new knowledge and confidence, but also a mindset of inquiry and
resilience, ready to tackle whatever science challenges come their way.

We’re grateful to the Bob McCarthy Foundation for investing in the future
of our youth, and t o al the families who joined us to make this summer
one of learning, laughter, and discovery!
